Terms & Conditions

Smart Detailing is proud to deliver professional mobile auto detailing services designed for your convenience and satisfaction. The following Terms & Conditions outline the responsibilities and expectations between Smart Detailing and our valued clients. By booking a service, you agree to these terms.

1. Vehicle Preparation

To ensure an efficient service, please prepare your vehicle prior to our arrival. Clients must remove all personal belongings, valuables, and any clutter. Child seats and large items must also be removed. Smart Detailing is not responsible for personal items left in the vehicle, nor do we handle child seat removal or reinstallation. If our technician must wait longer than 15 minutes for you to clear the vehicle, a delay fee may be applied. A trash removal fee starting at $50 may also be charged for vehicles with excessive debris.

2. Pricing & Vehicle Condition

Service pricing is determined based on the vehicle’s size, condition, and estimated time. After an inspection, we reserve the right to adjust pricing if necessary. All additional charges will be communicated before work starts. Additional fees may apply for pet hair, sand, heavy stains, odors, mold, biohazards, and salt stains. Pricing may vary based on the level of contamination and the time required to complete the job.

3. Service Limitations

While detailing enhances the appearance of your vehicle, it does not restore it to new condition. Complete removal of stains or odors is not guaranteed. Some stains or odors may be permanent, and special treatments may be required. Smart Detailing is not liable for damage to fragile or worn components such as buttons, electronics, headliners, or upholstery. Exterior paint damage, embedded brake dust, and faded trim may also persist after cleaning.

4. Cancellation Policy

All appointment cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time.

Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee. However, if the appointment is rescheduled, this fee will be applied as a credit toward the future service.

Clients who fail to attend their scheduled appointment without prior notice ("no-shows") will be charged 50% of the scheduled service total. No exceptions.

5.Payment Terms

When booking, you have the option to pay immediately online using a credit card, Apple Pay, or other digital payment methods. Alternatively, if you choose manual payment, you can settle the amount after the service via e-transfer, cash, or card. In either case, all appointments are confirmed at the time of booking. Please note that any changes or cancellations must be requested at least 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations or no-shows will incur a 50% service fee.

 

Refund Policy: In the event of a booking cancellation, any payments received may be credited toward a future service or refunded, with a 5% administrative fee deducted from the refund. 

Invoicing: Unless otherwise specified, all invoiced payments are due upon receipt. Prompt payment is appreciated, and any late payments past 30 days will result in collections and interest charges at a rate of 2% per month.

6. Media Authorization

By booking a service, you grant Smart Detailing permission to take photos or videos of your vehicle for marketing or training purposes. We will not identify clients by name, nor will we include personal information (e.g., license plates or addresses) without explicit permission. If you wish to opt out, please notify us before service.

7. Service Guarantee

We stand behind our work. If a portion of the service was not completed as agreed, please report any issues within 24 hours of service completion. We will either redo the affected work or provide a partial refund. Unauthorized repairs or attempts to fix the vehicle after service may void the guarantee.

8. Liability Disclaimer

Smart Detailing is not responsible for personal items left in vehicles, pre-existing damage, mechanical or electrical failures, or events beyond our control (e.g., fire, theft, or weather). We are not liable for any consequential damages. Clients should inspect their vehicle upon completion.

9. Estimates

All estimates are good-faith approximations based on the initial details provided. After inspection, the final price may change. Estimates remain valid for 30 days from the date provided.

10. Vehicle Inspection

A pre-service inspection will be conducted, and any concerns will be noted. Clients must clearly communicate their expectations and any special requests during this inspection. Smart Detailing reserves the right to refuse service if the vehicle’s condition poses safety concerns or is beyond the scope of the service.

11. Changes & Corrections

Smart Detailing reserves the right to correct pricing, service descriptions, or any other errors on the website or estimates at any time without prior notice.

12. Ceramic Coatings Warranty Terms

Our DIY detail coatings come with a warranty that corresponds to their year mark—three-year, five-year, or eight-year—provided the vehicle is used under normal conditions and receives proper maintenance. Normal use refers to daily personal or commuter driving, excluding racing, off-roading, or commercial use. Proper maintenance includes regular washing with recommended products and inspections per instructions. A warranty claim may be filed in the case of a manufacturing defect, improper bonding, or a flaw in the product, but not due to misuse, neglect, or improper care. If improper care, neglect, or misuse occurs, the warranty is void. The warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.

13. Acceptance of Terms

By booking and receiving services from Smart Detailing, the client confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
